June 12-16 Fashion + Design: (beginner ages 6-10 and advanced ages 9-15 in San Rafael, ages 6-11 beginners in Novato) Our studios have A LOT to share with our campers when it comes to fashion and design! Contemporary artists are explored, traditional techniques are taught, and sharing all of the approaches in how to create your own fabric is even introduced. Experimenting, investigation, and executing many different techniques in fabric while celebrating imagination in design. Beyond hand sewing, printmaking, and machine sewing (for our advanced group 9+), our young designers will also be designing their own shirts and hats. Our campers will finish with their very own fashion shoot! 

June 19-23 Ceramics, Clay + Pottery: (San Rafael ages 7-14, Novato ages 4-8) With 22 years of experience in providing ceramics camp, Studio4Art and Do ART! studio has A LOT to share with our campers! Contemporary artists are explored, traditional techniques are taught, and sharing all of the approaches to working with clay are celebrated. Experimenting, investigation, and executing many different techniques in ceramics in sculpture, imaginative creations, and functional art. June 26-30 Winter Wonderland - Winter in Summer! (San Rafael ages 7-11, Novato ages 4-8) When the weather is hot we will be enjoying thoughts of snowflakes and snowmen. Join us as we create several exciting works of art inspired by the winter season! From snowy landscapes to cold weather animals living in their icy habitats, we'll bring winter to life through sculpture, painting, clay, and printmaking.

July 10-14 Fine Art - Painting and Drawing: (San Rafael ages tween and teen, Novato ages 7-12) This class is designed with older artists in mind who would like to gain more advanced skills and learn new techniques. Campers will be learning about painting techniques in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Welcoming all styles we will explore realism, abstract, expressionism, and surrealism. We encourage working from your own inspiration and will choose what subject they would like to paint. An introduction each class period will have a new technique in brush application, composition, solvents, and how to tell a story through painting. Drawing techniques are taught simultaneously as we begin to “see like artists” and execute like professionals.

July 17-21 Street Art: (San Rafael ages 7-14, Novato ages 6-12) Think big out-of-the-box art-making! Campers will be diving into the history of graffiti and street art, learning street art techniques such as designing stencils, spray paint applications, creating a personal skateboard that may be too amazing to use, and the art of mural making and collaborative artworks.

July 24-28 Photography: (ages 8+) San Rafael Location ONLY. This camp was designed to excite and educate in a medium most children are not introduced to. In this week long, deep dive into photography, your child is walking away with techniques to inspire and consider color, composition, texture, and mood in their work. It is in-depth and thorough! Your child will gain knowledge to become a professional themselves, exploring photo image-making, learn how to play with light, perspective, and composition, and learn new progressive and contemporary ways to work with photos. Having your own phone for photos will be needed, but please reach out if you do not have a device.

July 24-28 Magical + Mystical: (ages 4-8) Novato location ONLY. Campers will be learning the steps through an already built, all wooden, castle! What is involved with designing a magical + mystical world? We can’t wait to see the imaginations explode with opportunities in clay, painting, and printmaking! Miniature worlds will be made and the extra special treat is their newly made worlds will all live within their personally designed wooden castles.

July 31-August 4 Art Attack: (San Rafael ages 7-11, Novato ages 4-8) This camp is all about exploration, education, and imagination. Hands on creating, full of process-based art projects incorporating art history, fine art techniques, new ways to use art materials, and learn contemporary approaches to art-making. Clay, painting, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture will be a part of our amazingly full art immersion week.

June 19-23 All 4 Clay: We LOVE clay! Getting to explore and play with a variety of clays to create imaginative work and functional pieces that will be cherished for years. The perfect camp for hands on learners, builders, and budding sculptors.

July 10-14 Slime and potion: Join us for a super fun week of potion and slime! We'll get messy experimenting and investigate interesting ingredients to create wild concoctions, bubbling potions, and fizzy creations including kinetic sand, fluffy slime, squishy floam, magic dough. A camp where science and art hold hands and create ahhmazing and fun results. This camp will have a lot of outside time if your child enjoys making outside.
