Want to start the holiday season out with the perfect memory maker? This workshop will be on your own time, in the comfort of your own home (hello glass of wine, hot cocoa, or a warm cup of tea) while creating, you can even invite your kids but only if you want. This workshop is perfect for any age and our guided instructions are easy to follow, we even get the clay ready for construction, you just put it together and embellish.
You will be using potters clay to create your gingerbread holiday houses. We will include step-by-step instructions and an email for any questions that may arise. We absolutely LOVE this workshop and this year with it being in the comfort of your own home I know it will be extra memorable and you will have as much time as you want to complete your clay gingerbread house.
This workshop uses clay that does NOT need to be fired. Do ART will include cold finish glazes for you to decorate your gingerbread house.
Your kit includes:
• clay to build a 8” gingerbread house
• pottery tools
• protective surface to work on
• cold finish glazes to paint your house
does not include cookie cutter decorations
Steps to our at-home workshops:
Sign up, make sure to complete a form for each participant. Great for a family gathering or a pod activity
Materials will be delivered locally or shipped internationally (additional fee)
CREATE! The process of this workshop is so enjoyable. You can be detailed or be a minimalist, it is all up to you and what you like. We have had gnome houses build, adobe houses, and inspirations from Frank Lloyd Wright through the years, every house becomes a work of art for any and all ages
When you are ready you will drop off your completed gingerbread house (keep wet for easy transporting) where we will fire in our kilns
We will email when your house is ready for pick up and ask at that time whether you would like glaze (kiln fired) or paint (no additional firing).
those that choose to use glazes your work will be fired a second time after you have applied the glazes
